Holiday Eating Doesn't Have to be a Struggle

JUST DO THE BEST YOU CAN

The holiday season is a magical time filled with joy, laughter, and, of course, lots of delicious food! But let's be honest, keeping up with healthy eating habits during the holidays can feel like a bit of a challenge, right? Don't worry, we're here to help you navigate this festive season with ease and confidence!

Everyone's journey to well-being is unique, and that includes how we approach holiday meals. Whether you're looking to maintain your current healthy habits or simply want to enjoy holiday treats without overindulging, there are plenty of ways to make it work for you

Color Your Plate: Variety is the spice of life! Consider incorporating colorful, seasonal vegetables into your meals for a vibrant and nutritious touch. Roasted Brussels sprouts or a tangy cranberry salad can be both festive and fulfilling!

Mindful Eating: Take your time and savor each bite! Pay attention to your body’s signals and eat until you're satisfied, not stuffed. Enjoying your meals mindfully can enhance your dining experience and help with digestion.  Savor the moment and make every meal special.

Stay Hydrated: We know the libations will be flowing so remember water is your best friend! Try to drink regularly throughout the day. Your body and head will thank you later.

Balance: Allow yourself to indulge a little, it is the holidays after all.  The spread will include your favorite treats, so enjoy with a sprinkle of moderation. If your mom’s decadent apple pie is on the table, go ahead and have a slice! Just pair it with a lighter meal earlier in the day to keep things balanced.

And lastly, Christmas is maybe two days of celebratory eating, not the entire week.

JUST DO THE BEST YOU CAN.  ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP IF YOU SLIP A LITTLE.
